The CMFI Cluster of Excellence at the University of Tübingen was looking for a playful Christmas card that showed both trees and a forest, and featured some microbiology.

I wanted this card to look like an illustration in a Children’s book, as to make it look inviting and friendly. The Bacteria are figuratively and literally the highlight on the image.
